The night has fallen over the seven lands, and the lights have gone out one by one. Aylen is small, a little clumsy, and carries nothing but a wooden staff with a crystal at its tip. It will have to be enough.
Aylen is a 2D platformer for PC, hand-drawn and lit like a storybook. You run, jump, dash and glide through seven lands, gather the scattered lights, and carry them back to the places that lost them.

Light is everything
In Aylen, light is not only something you collect. It is how you see, and how you change the world.
- Your light pushes back the night. The more lights you carry, the brighter Aylen glows. In the darkest places, that glow is all you can see.
- Give it back to the world. Old altars sleep along the way. Give them your lights and they wake up, opening bridges and new paths.
- A choice you keep making. Keep your lights to see further, or give them away to move forward. Both are right, and you will choose again and again.
Seven lands
Each land has its own colours, its own light and its own idea:
- The mossy glade, where the journey starts in the dawn rain.
- The lantern village, warm and wooden, home to friendly little slimes.
- The heart of the cave, lit only by its blue crystals.
- The night forest, so dark that mushrooms light up as you pass.
- The treetops, where the wind carries you higher and branches give way.
- The poisoned swamp, with sinking lily pads and clouds of toxic spores.
- The sanctuary, where something old is waiting.

How it plays
Aylen is about flow. The jump is light and forgiving, the dash cuts through the air, and holding the button lets you glide across the gaps. A spell of light, cast from the staff, clears the way. Hidden corners hold secrets for those who look behind the leaves.
The game plays with keyboard or controller, in English and French.

Where we are
All seven lands are playable in our current build. We are now polishing: art direction, sound, balancing, and the moments that make a journey memorable. Everything we show is real footage from the game, and it will keep improving.
Next on the road: a first playable demo. Follow us on X to be the first to know, and visit the Aylen site for the trailer and screenshots.
Thank you for following our very first game. Until the next vision.
